NAMM Convention
Peder from Soundly met Stian from Acon Digital at NAMM in Anaheim. A conversation about audio processing and machine learning planted the seed for what would later become HANCE.
Company Formation
After collaborating for several years, Soundly and Acon saw a market for realtime and lightweight audio enhancement algorithms. They established HANCE and set out to build an extremely CPU-efficient audio engine trainable for multiple use cases.
Market Entry
After years of development, HANCE released an audio engine for for C++, Python, and HTTP. The models were small enough to run smoothly on small and lightweight processors. Early partnerships with industry contacts provided critical real-world feedback that shaped our initial launch.
Expansion
HANCE established an executive team, with Joote Michal Hika leading as CEO. The team launched HANCE 26, and signed first commercial contracts with SyncDNA and Woid. The company evolved from a single engine into a comprehensive suite of audio solutions, with ongoing deployments across multiple industries.
NAMM Convention
Peder and Erling from Soundly met Stian from Acon Digital at NAMM. A conversation about audio processing and machine learning began.
From Concept to Product
The founders saw a market gap: realtime, lightweight audio enhancement that could run anywhere. They established HANCE to build an extremely CPU-efficient audio engine trainable for multiple use cases.
Market Entry
After years of development, HANCE released its audio engine with 253 kB models—small enough to run on lightweight processors while delivering professional-grade results.
Expansion
Joote Michal Hika became CEO. HANCE released Stem Separation and signed first commercial contracts with SyncDNA and Woid, expanding from a single engine into a comprehensive suite of audio solutions.
